Picture This ... India 2004 Ready!!!

Okay, I finally put up my India pictures. Sadly they didn't come out at well as I hoped. I think maybe the film got a little bad (curse that Mumbai heat!!!). In any event I put up a portion of them on the web. There are more, but I think I've shared a good amount. Please feel free to ask me about any of them. Leave a comment if you like, but the comments are all public. About access, if I didn't email you [...]

Indian Conspirators?

I was thinking about something and for some random reason typed 'india' into google. The first link was puzzling. I got the CIA - The World Factbook -- India. One would have to wonder how that got to be the first link? :-) (Please don't take that too seriously). [...]

Vertigo is Here

In my preoccupation with mundane things such as code readers, washing machines and Dan Rather, I seem to have missed that Sept 24 was V-Day. The much anticipated and theived album by U2 has had it's first single released (along with an updated U2.com). The ... umm ... title is How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb and you check out the countdown till it's release. Hmm ... that release is pretty close to ... (hint hint). And my dont-know-how-to-blog brother (no not that one) [...]

What's Wrong With This Video?

I'm fascinated by this website hosting Sarah Mclachlan's video for the song: World on Fire off of her latest CD Afterglow. Watch it, then read on. Reminds me of the Scorpion's Wind of Change and regardless of the music it really makes you think. But then of course, with our short attention span I'm sure people will feel that momentary emotion and then quickly forget as we resume our lives. Waiting for the next thing that moves us into thinking ... but not acting. [...]

Why the Schools?

I'm beyond disgusted at this turn of events. I heard it a day or so ago, but never expected it to end so poorly. A group of 40 children broke out of the school. Terrorists started firing at them, and armed bystanders in turn shot at the hostage-takers, he said. The terrorists responded by detonating a bomb that partly destroyed the roof of the school. Shoot at kids? So what do we hold [...]

Gmail Invites: Take 1

Okay, I'm giving out Gmail invites. I know most people probably already have one by now. However if you're still desperately searching or you don't know any geeky friends, you're welcome to get one from me. Get 'em while they're hot! Don't reply to this post. Just use my contact link on the side. 9/7: Still have a bunch. [...]

Direction Maybe?

Well, no serious entries lately. I guess I've been busy, or rather putting some serious time "investment" into myself. What does that mean exactly? Please ask. ... Anyways, I'm on a definite up swing. I don't want to jinx it, but then, I seriously doubt that's possible. Simply because I don't feel like it's luck entirely, more like comeupance. Anyways, of the many things I dabble with or get myself involved with, one of them was bound to get a little more attention than [...]

Picture This

Okay I feel much better now. After almost 2 months, the India pictures are done being scanned! I just need to sort them a bit, then upload. So people please be patient. Overall assessment is that they came out a bit dull - flash? film? - not sure what caused it. Oh well. Next time I'll know better. [...]
