Well I just wanted to wish all my friends and family and unknown internet readers a very Merry Christmas. I know that this year has been tough for many so if you stop and think about it, chances are that the simple things you have in life put you well above the millions in poverty, homeless or with broken families today. And even though this day isn't different from others, it's a good day for reflection, whether religious or not.

Well I'm terribly sick at home, but it's a nice home with loving family. I couldn't ask for more.

Even though it will be debated as to whether or not Mel Gibson's The Passion of The Christ will win over any converts, no one can argue that it didn't make people want to repent:

A controversial movie led a man to confess to killing his girlfriend, Fort Bend County deputies told News2Houston Thursday. ... Authorities said that Leach confessed to the crime after seeing Mel Gibson's controversial movie, "The Passion of The Christ" and he decided to seek redemption. He told investigators he staged the killing to look like a suicide.

Could it be just that simple? I don't know.

3/30: Is this a new trend? A burglar gives Confession 2 and a neo-Nazi terrorist gives Confession 3.

I haven't had a chance to update for the past few days. Lots of little events here and there that have been occupying my time. Well the only important thing I need to do is wish everyone some holiday cheer.

For all my friends, family and others I want to wish you all a warm and Merry Christmas. May the miracle of Christ's birth bless you and all those you hold dear. For all travelers, have a safe and happy journey. For all the gift givers, please remember the true meaning of this sacred holiday. And most importantly for all those with nothing ... you are not forgotten.

Exclusive Diversity

Yet another pesky double standard in uber-liberal Ann Arbor gets the verdict from a judge. At the city's largest public high school, a so called "Diversity Week" in 2002 excluded a student with a dissenting opinion to participate in a forum, sparking a lawsuit. Recently, a federal judge criticized the school and compared their actions to Nazi Germany. A final ruling is expected in a week.

Here's the thing that I find interesting. The school district allowed the Gay-Straight Alliance to hold a forum titled "Homosexuality and Religion" which included 6 religious leaders. Yes, religious topics inside a public school. What bothers me is that groups like the ACLU will instantly threaten suit against the first (Christian) student who prays at a school sporting event, but somehow a whole week of religious topics can be presented without anyone giving some tripe about (the so called) seperation of church and state? It should be really easy for 6 clerics to go for a week without mentioning God on school grounds (yes I'm being facetious).

I once heard a narrative depicting the difference between Heaven and Hell. In Hell there exists a large banquet with the finest of foods and plenty for all. Every soul was seated at this magnificent table and provided spoons to eat. However since every spoon was too long, no one was able to feed themself since they could not bring the food to their mouth. In Heavan there exists the same table with the same spoons. However no one was left hungry. Why? Because they all feed eachother.

It bothers me how many people fail to realize what they already have or develop the justification that they deserve more for themselves. I'm not saying that people shouldn't improve their lives, on the contrary, it is a laudable goal. More specifically I think I'm trying to say that one makes his own heavan ... and one makes his own hell.
