Spending Some Time in LA

It has been rather stressful summer for me. Lots of ups and downs both personally and professionally. Unsurprisingly, I survived the last round of layoffs, but in some weird way I would not have been upset had I been let go. Quite a few "alternate" scenarios played out in my head. I'm an excuse person, I need an excuse to do something and not the other way around. Losing your job would be a great excuse to take some time off and relax or do some exotic traveling (China perhaps?

U2 360 US Tour Dates

U2 announced their tour schedule about 3 weeks ago. The tour started in Europe but only had 4 confirmed dates for the US in September. There were also some unconfirmed locations later, but there was no Michigan location in any of the cities listed. I was a little upset at first (I still am), but then I looked at the proposed stage layout. The concept is basically that there is a full 360 degree view of the band on stage, which basically means there will be many more great floor spots to get a closer experience (in 2005, I was on the floor close to the stage).

A Wedding in Virginia

My younger brother got married this weekend, and me being a true critic's critic have to make my comments. It goes without saying that the bride and groom were obviously quite happy. Even after all the hiccups, I am pretty sure the entire event went very much to their liking. I must say that there were some serious errors in planning and execution but the real surprise was ... I actually had a really good time.

Rest and Relaxation

I will be out of town for some rest and relaxation for a few days. I will get back to my email and other random stuff when I return. Long overdue.

India 2007 - Part 1 - Delhi

Well belated Happy New Year. I returned from my India trip about 2 weeks ago and now I finally feel like the jet-lag has totally passed. I still have a lingering cough that I got some time before my arrival in Bombay. The only one thing I can not seem to kick is this overwhelming feeling of lethargy. It took me forever to write this! Anyways, I had a really interesting trip with my family.
